What I learned this weekend

Don't you wish you could eat this every day! Post bike eats at Brown County Breakdown Dirty Girl!
Hesitation Point (Me and Cheryl)

What I learned this weekend!

1. I love mountain biking

2. Brown County is freak'n hilly

3. 50 miles is a long way to ride on crazy hilly mountain bike trails

4. My hands get more sore than my legs

5. I can really get stinky -- watch out boyz

6. Momentum really is your friend

7. I AM capable of going over logs (when they are dry)

8. My bike is way to big for me

9. Mountain bikers are so much more fun than roadies

10. I still love my roadie friends

11. Rock gardens are not my friend (especially when they go uphill)

12. I love biking down hill, I hate running down hill

13. Food taste really good when you are finished

14. If I get my ass back off my seat far enough, I can touch the wheel and not endo

15. A long day with great friends is priceless

16. I do NOT have the coolest mountain biking scar ever, I have been out done

I also did a 5k on Saturday. I was really happy with the end result. I passed 2 girls with about 200 meters to go and sprinted in for 3rd place. I averaged 6:45s which was awesome for me. I know that I need to get that down into the 6:20 range for next year, but BABY steps!

Other than watching Ironman Hawaii, the rest of my weekend was fairly unproductive. Oh, and Craig Alexander (2008 Hawaii Ironman World Champion) has the same bike as I do! He definately looks way hotter on his bike than I do on mine! I am exhausted and I have no idea what is going on in the world, but I will still go to bed with a smile on my face.
