I have officially begun structured training and I can't even begin to tell you how it keeps me sane! The 2009 schedule has changed a bit (well a lot) and I am going to be racing Primal Quest this year in South Dakota (www.ecoprimalquest.com). This is something that I have wanted to do for a long time (even before I started adventure racing). So, the date is August 13th and a lot of my training will be in preparation for this 10 day expedition, unsupported race. So, get out your climbing shoes, kayaks, mountain bikes, trail shoes and come join me on some of the epic workouts that will be awaiting in 2009.
I still plan on racing the St Croix 70.3 in early May and Steelhead on August 1, but with the current economic situation, anything can happen. I am sure you will see me at the local sprint races as well.
I'd like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays and I hope that you all find yourself well in these horrible economic times. I'd really like to thank Matt for everything that he does for me (you have know idea silly wabbit), Jason for keeping me company, pulling me up the hills and making me laugh (usually simultaneously), Lindsey for being the bestest friend ever, Katie, Cheryl and Rose for being my partners in crime and my mom for being 110% supportive with my crazy ideas. I love all of you and i am so greatful for your friendship! I'd also like to thank the Runners Forum for giving me a part time job to help me pay for all the gear that I need and Gray Goat Sports for taking care of my bikes!
Happy Training and Happy Holidays!
