Cabin Fever 6 Hour Orienteering Meet

After being sick for a week, it was great to get away and get in some much needed outdoor time. The race started at 10am and we had to get as many points as possible by 4pm. There was snow and ice everywhere, so my hip flexors are super sore still today. Matt and I had a great time flying through the woods and, like always, his navigation was spot on. We almost cleared the course and I am pretty sure he could have cleared it without me. But, we had a great time and I need all of the "feet" time I can get. I have been trying to experiement with trail shoes and socks trying to come up with the perfect combination for primal quest. I just tried the new Brooks Cascadia trail shoes and I loved them!
Back to the race, we cleared all but 2 checkpoints and finished strong. We were the first coed team and 2nd overall. So, it was a great weekend and I am feeling much better so it's time to buckle down and get back on schedule.
