LBL 24 Hour Challenge

We headed to the boonies of western kentucky for the first annual LBL 24 hour challenge, a part of the checkpoint tracker series (www.checkpointzero.com). We rocked the course, could have gone faster on the bike at the end, but all in all...we did amazing. Matt navigated through the o-section with brilliance like always, Jason pulled us and carried more than his fair share and Brian was a serious trooper despite being sick for the last half of the race. We ended up fourth, came in on a flat tire and qualified for nationals. The top teams at this race are bad ass, so i can't complain about the 4th place finish. Once again, being out there confirms the fact that I LOVE ADVENTURE RACING. It is so fun, well I can't say that the 4 hour paddle in the lake swells was too much fun, but I did have a blast on my new mountain bike and hanging out with my team. The race ended up taking us 27 hours to finish, crazy huh? Only 5 teams cleared the course, Indy Rootstock came in right behind us to round out the top 5. I'm definatley looking forward to the next race...hopefully mid may sometime.
Next up is XTERRA MEMPHIS on April 18th!

Whitney,
Job well done by you and your team at the LBL Challenge, we were chasing hard, at one time we were only 20 mts behind you and the boys! We had some mechanical issues, hope your new bike held up better than a few of ours. It was great fun to be out there and I do have to agree about the paddle. Although, got a nice tan from the pits to the wrist!
I have to ask, the green run shoes you had on Friday night, INDYROOTSTOCK envy?
