My bucket list

For those of you who don't already know me, you will quickly find out there are sooooooooo many things that i enjoy doing in this crazy world of multisport. I want to be fast at sprints, I want to break an hour in a 40k time trial, I want to race Xterra, I want to adventure race all over the country, I want to do some mountain bike races, I want to run an ultramarathon, I want to qualify for Hawaii one day before I'm 80, I really like the 70.3 races, I want to run a 19 minute 5k one day, I want to run a marathon without a swim and a bike in front of it, I want to road race, I love my 808 rear wheel but I really want a disk (with a powertap)................................................do you get my point. I was hesitant about hiring a coach because I thought "who could put up with someone like me". Fortunately I found a coach that is very good at handling all of the things on my above wish list. He is very quick to still put me in my place! Thanks Dean:)

Sometimes I think that if I could just focus a little more on one thing, perhaps I could excel at that 1 thing. But what fun would that be! I guess there is a part of me that enjoys getting out there each year and living it up in all different kinds of races. When I downoaded the You Tube video of primal quest for this website, all i could think about was "how can I pull that off next year". Then I remember that I promised myself I was going to work my rear end off in the pool so that I could hold my own on my triathlon swims. Where would I find time this year to train for Primal Quest. One day, one day soon. Goodness Gracious Girl, take a nap already!

So I have my "bucket" list and I will always be in a forward motion with the hopes of achieving all of my athletic goals. And maybe, just maybe, once i've crossed all of those things listed above off...i'll pull that old guitar out of my closet and start playing again. Mind you, i'll have already gone for my morning run.
