Whitney vs. Knoxville (round 1)

This past weekend, Chad and I decided to go on a last minute training trip to Knoxville, TN.  We packed the car Friday after work and pulled into our hotel around midnight.  In a desperate attempt to find warmer weather, we were exhausted and excited for some uphill and downhill adventures.  After a grueling climb on Saturday, I was woken up by my rear wheel starting to come loose!  As I skidded down the hill, I just hoped and prayed that I could land without hurting myself too bad.  With a bit of a road rash, I was fine and was very break happy on every descent the rest of the day.  Actually, I was annoyingly break happy and scared to death the rest of the day.
I regained my confidence on Sunday and we rode with a group for about 4 hours.  I hung on as long as possible and then did my own thing until the boys were done doing there pro thing.  Unfortunately, I had a bit to much fun and ended up getting sick on Sunday night and I have been off of the bike for 2 days now.  I am so bummed, but i am doing my best to get better for another trip to Knoxville with some friends this coming weekend.  I am not sure my body is going to let me go, but I am going to try to pull it together for another 4 days in the great smoky mountains!
I am still waiting on my brand new Blue AC1 frame to come, but was pumped up when my new helmet, sunglasses, tires and stem came in the mail.  Thanks Paul!  Paul, our team director, is the most organized get'r done people I have ever worked with.  My eyes will really light up when that new green and black frame shows up at the front door.  I can't wait!  Once my zipp order arrives, I will be ready to build my new bike.  Well, Chad will be ready to build my new bike:)
Hopefully, I will be able to share lots of photos and memories of my training camp in Knoxville this coming weekend.  If not, that means I spent multiple hours training indoors with a snotty nose.
